Technical sales role with a Global Market Leader.
SALES EXECUTIVE (Southern Europe & Middle East) The ideal candidate will be responsible for day to day sales management in designated territories to include Turkey, North Africa & Middle East including UAE.
The objective of the role is the development of new and existing key accounts in the territories and the development of market knowledge to ensure that our products maximise their potential. Essentially the role is to build sales and profitability in the territory and find and implement new business opportunities.
Reporting to the Group Sales Manager the successful candidate would ideally have:- Excellent communications, networking, negotiating and influencing skills and be an enthusiastic self starter with a strong competitive outlook. It would be beneficial that the candidate has a technical qualification preferably a HNC / Degree in Electrical Engineering. A hands-on approach is essential and the candidate should have an international outlook and demonstrable commercial awareness. Previous experience of International roles is ideal.
Key Roles and Responsibilites include;
1. Researching & appointing new Export Distributors/OEMs/Direct Accounts whilst developing and managing existing key export customers/accounts.
2. Plan and prioritise personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business aims, including costs and sales - especially managing personal time and productivity.
3. Plan and manage personal business portfolio/territory/business according to an agreed market development strategy.
4. Plan/carry out/support local marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales, and integrate personal sales efforts with other organized marketing activities, e.g. product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions and telemarketing.
5. Monitor and report on market and competitor
6.Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development.
Essential Requirements *
- You must have experience of managing sales accounts, and ideally, distributors.
- Ideally you will have a technical qualification. HNC/degree in electrical engineering.
- You must be prepared to travel as required.
- You must be based in the North East or prepared to relocate into the area unassisted.
